Teachers' notes

The teachers’ notes below have been specially prepared for Seeds for Schools by practising teachers with a special interest in climate change.

They are not linked to any particular national curriculum but should prove to be useful to teachers working with six -14 year olds across the UK.

They will help to highlight links with a range of curricular subjects and suggest some novel project and activity ideas.

We are very grateful to the Climate Change Schools Project in North East England, and especially the contributing authors: Lucy Smith (Dr. Thomlinson CoE Middle School, Northumberland), Angela Ali (Grange Park Primary School, Sunderland), Alan Scarr (The Grove Primary, County Durham) and Rose Fletcher & Christina Ward (Edmondsley Primary School, County Durham), Donna Dawson (Bydales School, Redcar & Cleveland) and Gavin Hill (Seaton Burn Community College, North Tyneside) for their assistance in producing these materials..
